About the HSUWA

The HSUWA is the union that represents more than 20,000 allied health and health science professionals, technicians and assistants, clerks and administrators, supervisors and managers.

HSUWA members work in Western Australia's public and private hospitals and health services, pathology, radiology, aged care, disability services, community pharmacy, and dental practices. The HSUWA represents more than 3,000 healthworkers in regional WA.

We work hard to support our members at work and we campaign for better health policies and outcomes for all West Australians.The HSUWA is not affiliated to any political party, making us an independent voice for our members. 

Are you eligible to be a member of the HSUWA ?

The Rules of the HSUWA allow employees in health professional, administrative, clerical, general, technical and supervisory jobs to become members of the union. The list below is a guide only, it is not exhaustive. Keep in mind that job titles change frequently , and there are even new occupations and professions being added from time to time. You can add extra titles such as senior , chief, deputy chief, co-ordinator, assistant, manager etc.
