Clerical review at SCGH nears end - change begins soon
Friday 05 Jun 2015
The union recently met with Acting Executive Director Dr Victor Cheng to discuss the soon-to-be-announced outcomes of the review of the administration and clerical services at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH).
According to Dr Cheng, the aim is to get better consistency with workloads and better alignment with hospital activity, without reducing the overall number of positions providing administrative support, clerical work in outpatients, and medical typing.
There is likely to be changes to the way work is done and to line management and reporting structures.
We will know more when the executive approves the review and announces its decision.
Dr Cheng has committed to further consultation about the changes, and we will discuss the most appropriate and effective consultative arrangements to safeguard members interests through these changes.
To keep up to date, look out for updates on the hospital intranet. Here is the latest update.
