Finalising the claim for the EBA
Wednesday 02 Apr 2014
Regional HSUWA members will take part in a number of teleconferences in the first week of this month to wrap up the first round of meetings. In late January, several country worksites started the consultation process, including Bunbury, Busselton, Narrogin and Northam.
Also in April is the Workplace Reps EBA conference, which is on today (2nd) at the public service union (CSA) meeting rooms in Hay Street. Reps will get feedback about the members survey, the meetings of members around Metro worksites, and the teleconferences.
The union's committee of management has made recommendations for the Reps conference to consider and make resolutions. From there we will write to the Department with the formal claim. A copy of the log of claims should be on our website and App by the end of the second week, so keep an eye out for it.
We will also start formal negotiations with the Department (with which we have been having informal discussions) and seek an offer in response to our claims.
Following that we will likely advise a schedule of mass meetings of members starting in late April.
For all the extra work you are putting in to transform the health system in 2014/15 you deserve the same pay increases as other health employees, together with secure employment and no loss of conditions.
