Interim pay increase – 2.75% backdated from 1 July 2014

We are pleased to advise that the interim wage increase of 2.75% for HSUWA public sector members will be applied and back paid from 1 July 2014.

The amount of the final wage increase effective from 1 July 2014 and the increase from 1 July 2015 will be subject to arbitration in the WA Industrial Relations Commission.

Members will be further advised once we have more information and a timetable for the arbitration.

The Department of Health will be publishing an information circular to confirm the revised wage schedule and adjustment of shift, weekend, public holiday and related allowances.

We are advised that HCN will implement the changes as follows: 

  • Women and Newborn; Child and Adolescent; PathWest (ex RPH and SMHS); Royal St; HCN; HIN (Alesco Payroll): from 11 August 2014. Increase and backpay (1 July 2014 to 10 August 2014) will be received pay day 28 August 2014 (pay period 11-24 August 2014) 
  • NMHS; SMHS; WACHS (Lattice Payroll): from 11 August 2014. Increase only will be received pay day 28 August 2014 (pay period 11-24 August 2014)
  • Lattice backpay (1 July 2014 to 10 August 2014): will be received pay day 25 September 2014 (pay period 8-21 September 2014)

We are pursuing further discussions on the secure employment package. More advice about the status of the arbitration for higher wage increases will be advised as soon as it is known.
