Learning about your rights at work
Thursday 26 Mar 2015
How well do you know your rights at work? How confident are you that you can defend your rights?
Your rights at work are not abstract legal ideas. They are about your pay, hours, shift penalties, overtime, rostering and leave, how you are treated at work, safety at work, work-life balance, and all of the other workplace issues which affect you.
Knowing your rights is one thing, but what you also need to know is how to protect and further your rights at work.
There are various strategies you can use, from low-level, non-confrontational approaches to direct actions.
If you would like to learn more about making your working life better, enrol in the one-day Workrights course.
The next dates are listed here. If you have enough members interested, contact us about providing a course at your workplace.
