Member Consultation Meeting – State Wages Policy Update
Friday 08 Oct 2021
On Tuesday 5 October, HSUWA members stood up and took the first step to negotiating better wages for public health workers across the state.
We would like to congratulate members who attended the consultation meeting with State Government representatives for their incredible contribution and for sharing their experiences of working in public health.
They represented our membership with professionalism and passion.
HSUWA shared powerful stories of the impacts of the existing State Wages Policy and why the new one needs to be very different. The panel of advisors left the room with a clear understanding of why the State Government needs to recognise the value of WA health workers and their hard work, with a fair and decent pay rise.
A list of questions put to the State Government by HSUWA Members at the meeting can be found on the Campaign Page here.
We will be sharing the stories of some of these dedicated HSUWA members over the coming months and look forward to working with all members to achieve better pay and conditions in the HSUWA Union Agreement 2022.
