Perth kids' hospital project consultation gathers pace

Tuesday 20 Jan 2015

The New Year has seen a hive of activity underway at Princess Margaret Hospital.

Your union has conducted further consultation with the Perth Children's Hospital Project team and a timetable for ongoing discussions has been mapped out. These discussions are information-sharing forums and an opportunity for issues raised by our members to be addressed and resolved.

The organising team has established a Representative Network group at the hospital. Your representatives are tabling a wide array of issues and concerns, including staff numbers and structures, safety and security, technology and training, and many more.

Moving a tertiary hospital is no small endeavour. Numerous deadlines for the completion of activities to ensure the move occurs smoothly are rapidly approaching and many of our members are under considerable pressure to continue working in very busy and demanding jobs, while playing significant roles in the relocation effort. In an already resource constrained working environment, and with the extraordinary complexity involved in this move, it is critical that you have a voice in the process and let your representative or the union know what matters to you.

HSUWA members can contact their representative for further information or call or email the union office. If you don't have a Representative, consider volunteering to take this important role on -you can do that by completing the nomination form on our site or calling the union office.
