Spring Sundowner: celebrate 30 years of Union Aid Abroad
Tuesday 18 Nov 2014
Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA is celebrating its 30-year anniversary with a Spring Sundowner on Thursday 27 November, and you're invited!
Established in 1984 by the ACTU as the Australian union movement's overseas aid arm, Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA (Australian People for Health, Education & Development Abroad) assists with projects in South-east Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East and southern Africa.
Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA's new Executive Officer, Kate Lee, will speak about the organisation's work in Asia and the Middle East.
APHEDA demonstrates the union movement's commitment to social justice through education, training and development projects, working in partnership with those whose rights to development are restricted or denied.
The HSUWA is a subscribing member of APHEDA.
Please support APHEDA's important work by attending this event or considering a one-off or regular donation. All funds raised from the night will support the Vietnam-Australia Asbestos Disease Prevention Project.
When: Thursday 27 November
Time: 6.30pm
Where: The Inglewood Hotel
