What can you do to support the EBA campaign?
Monday 12 May 2014
As most of you would be aware, we've been holding mass meetings over the last two weeks at different venues to update members on the EBA campaign.
More than 900 members have so far attended meetings at SCGH, RPH, Armadale, Shenton Park, KEMH, Graylands, Swan Districts and HCN.
We've been sharing information and encouraging our members to get involved in the campaign and encourage others to do the same.
Here are some ways for you to get involved in the campaign:
- Commit to being part of the campaign
- Talk to your workplace representative and share your ideas
- If you don't have a workplace representative, talk to your colleagues and nominate someone - maybe you?
- "Like" us on Facebook
- "Follow us" on Twitter
- Tell us why being treated fairly is important to you - we could film you telling your story or you could provide your own video for our social media pages
- Tell us what is going on in your workplace
- Ask us for badges or stickers to spread the message
- Talk to three colleagues who were not at a mass meeting and tell them about the campaign and why being part of the union is important
- Talk to three supporters - eg doctors, nurses, hospital support workers, members of the public - about how they can support the campaign
- Talk with your colleagues about local actions you could take in support of the pay claim. Any actions should minimise inconvenience to patients.
We will have an 'email the Treasurer' function up and running in the next couple of days, which we encourage you to use. We also encourage you to attend a meeting if you haven't already. For a full schedule of meetings, click here.
