One of the improvements agreed to in the Union Agreement 2024 for public sector health workers was to ensure all personal leave was cumulative year to year.
This means Members will have 15.2 hours of personal leave per year become cumulative and accrue year to year. Your union has been advised that HSS will implement the conversion to personal leave balances for Members under the Ascender payroll system in the pay cycle beginning 25 August 2025. Employees will notice the change on their payslip from 11 September 2025. Conversion for employees on the Lattice payroll system is still some time away and we will advise Members when the information becomes available.
