Recently, a group of key HSUWA Members working as Security Officers in public and public/private hospitals joined together to discuss the opportunity of the upcoming Security Officer Forums achieved under the Union Agreement 2024.
Members discussed their ideas and priorities to advance the safety and working conditions of Security Officers through the forum process, so they can best do their job of protecting staff and patients. They also talked about building the unity needed to achieve the aims of Security Officers across WA Health. Security Officers at each HSP should expect an invite from their employer for a meeting based at their HSP in the coming weeks. Then the first Cross HSP Security Officer Forum is expected to be held on 24 June 2025, where two HSUWA Delegates from each HSP will represent union Members.
