Join the WA union movement at the annual May Day Festival and march on Sunday, 4 May 2025
HSUWA Members and their families are welcome to attend the May Day Festival at Fremantle Esplanade Park. This fun event brings WA unions together to celebrate union achievements and showcase our strength.
There will be free ice cream, coffee, sausage sizzle, and free entertainment for kids.
An organised union march through the streets of Fremantle will take place at midday, with road closures from 12 noon to approximately 12:45pm.
Come along with your favourite people, wear purple and get ready to march!
Timings for the day:
10am to 12 noon – community festival – free coffee and ice cream, children’s rides and games, union dog competition.
11am to 11.30am – music and speeches
11.30am – march assemble
12noon to 1pm – Union March
1.30pm – festival close
