It is a pleasure to announce that current union Vice-President Craig Russell (Senior Clinical Psychologist) has been appointed by the HSUWA Committee of Management to step into the role of union President until the end of the current term (given Cheryl Hamill’s retirement).
Craig has been an HSUWA Member for almost 27 years, serving the past six years as part of the union’s Committee of Management. Many Members will know Craig from his dedication to fighting for better and safer working conditions for staff across public mental health services at Community CAMHS, where he has shown incredible leadership and care. Craig has a long history of stepping up to support and advocate for Members with skill and compassion. He is a great asset to our union, and it will be exciting to see how it will continue to grow and campaign strongly with Craig as President.
