On 19 March 2025 the Union Agreement 2024 for the public sector was registered by the WA Industrial Relations Commission (WAIRC).

This means that the new terms achieved by HSUWA Members have come into effect. We note that some entitlements will apply on specific dates as set out in the Agreement. Given the range of changes that affect pay (such as new allowances), we will seek clarification and communicate further about implementation.

Importantly higher pay rates are about to be applied and back pay paid. Back pay dates for the period 1 July 2024 to 9 March 2025 are:

  • 27 March 2025 – for staff on the Asecenda (MyHR) payroll system; and
  • 10 April 2025 – for staff on the Lattice payroll system.
